Hello all

I have recently picked up a blake co-ax indicator, and have never used one of these before. I ussumed these would be simple to use, and sure they are but there has to be somthing Im missing.

I mounted a piece of 1 5/8 round stock to the vise, set up with the curved feeler that the instructions say to use for outside dia to approx 4 1/4 inches.
The feeler will swing but not the distance to reach around the 1 5/8 stock I want to centre up.

Is there a ajustment that Im missing here? Is there any sites out there that explain the set-up and use of these indicators? Im not seeing how this thing could sweep around a large dia part.

There must be somthing Im missing here, can any body help me out here?
Maybe I got a defect, or I need different feelers, I don,t know.

Thanks in advance guys

The holder the feeler is inserted in is a friction fit on the rocker arm. It can be moved out to accomodate large diameters, just give it a push.

Thanks Jim

Yes, that works perfect. They don,t say anything about that in the instructions. Now it all makes sense .

Thanks again
