I have a Kennametal A16CTLNR2 Boring Bar.The problem is, I can't keep the insert (TN 221) in place. Any suggestions

I suppose welding the insert on would kind of defeat the purpose. . . . . .

LOL! Of course not! I'd weld that sukker in there in a heartbeat...only to regret it later.

Has this always been a problem or just starting? Can you post a picture of it? I use lots of Kennametal but never memorized the number stuff. Some of their bars are carbide and will not take banging against a wooden cabinet edge. Guess how I know that?

Ahh, so the family rumors are true, I DO have a long lost twin brother, separated at birth it seems! He's alive and well and living in Canada.
Solve the immediate problem, then solve the problem created by the solution to the immediate problem later. We think alike!
