Before moving my home shop to Brazil, I tried to load up on tools I know I would have a hard time finding here. One of the things I bought was an Enco boring and facing head. I opted for the cheaper one of the two offered since I didn't have an urgent need. Well, today I tried to use it. I must confess I've never used a good one, only seen one used, but I am afraid I have made a mistake.
This tool has two "speeds." It jogs outward either once per rotation or twice per rotation depending upon the position of a screw. The amount of travel seems to be predetermined and not adjustable. If anyone has one of these, please correct me if I am wrong. It did not come with any instructions. Also, it only seems to work from the center out and not from the outside in.
I would like to hear from others who have or have used the tool for any tips, thoughts, etc.
