Did you see her on the American Chopper episode? She was a complete b!tch.

Mikey was driving her around the track, and she was mad that it was messing-up her hair.

They asked her some technical questions about the race car, and she said "All I know is about the steering wheel, if you have questions about the car, you'll have to ask the engineering team."

Not what I expected...

Stick her in NASCAR and see what happens to her. Her prissy attitude will get her nowhere.

She would best stay with the prissy racers she is with, she fits in with them.

Your right, she don't impress me at all.

Why does a female sports figure have to prove herself by posing in provocative photos. I don't think I ever saw a pic of Richard Petty spread over old number 43 in a thong.

Oh, that's a visual I could have done without Jim

By the way, what's the stripper tattoo on her butt? It looks like some kind of flag? It's not a checkered flag...

I thought it was a bar code.

ya know, as in she's objectified herself :D, something accomplished women disdain. I agree with JC, while its always nice seeing pics of scantily glad nice looking women, wtf, kind of sells down the river that her identify is her accomplishments, whatever they might be, personally never heard or her before lol

I bet they do those poses to make money. I don't think Richard would make as much in a thong.

Yabut.. you guys forgot that she has cojones! She's got the looks... if she makes a few bucks off them, I'm ok with that.
Anyone who can drive like she does gets my respect. 200 mph is fast no matter what the gender.
BTW... she is NOT the only racer out there who doesn't know much about the cars. I'm bettin she knows more than you think. They need to know to work with the engineers.
Her bein a bitch on OCC.. kinda goes with the territory doesn't it?
At least she isn't dumb enough to eat cat crap :D

And probably not dumb enough to weld without a helmet, either.

I like her and admire her for her accomplishments in a male-dominated sport, but I wish the first-female-to-win honor had gone to Sarah Fisher.

I didnt see that, I did see her on letterman and I was in awe, she was extremely personable and was wearing a skirt and had knock out legs, about half way through after I actually started to listen to what she was saying:o I came to the conclusion that the woman is extremely intelligent -- and not in the typical "woman" way ------- In a way it goes without saying -- there is no way she could do what she does and not be, I still have my stereo-type
views about "typical" but there are people that I make exceptions for and she is absolutely one of them.

Sorry bout that, I thought about it and then said "naaaaaahhh"
I made an assumption that the title was kinda self explanatory --- After a quick thought of wondering what one would expect and maybe thinking that someone might think it would have lead to "Danny's carbide sharpening tips" I thought that kind of far fetched and unnecessary, obviously I was wrong:rolleyes:

I was wandering why her legs are spread like that.
I think maybe, they got stuck in that position.

If Danica Patrick and others can make money by removing all or part of their clothing, then that's just another part of their revenue stream. If they could make more money by putting on more clothes, then they would instantly bundle up like Nanook Of The North.

They say that turns in Indy cars are like driving down your block at eighty miles and hour and turning into your driveway. She not only does that, but she's one of the best in the world at it or she wouldn't have a ride for long. I'm impressed.

Is that all?

I do it at 25 usually.

And with a Hyundai Accent...just think of what I could do in an indy car!

Lew... I thought you meant Shirley Muldowney. Now there was a tough woman.
I did a fair amount of drag type racing and don't consider it near the same as circle track.
I raced stockcars for 3 years after I gave up my blown alky mud rig. Couldn't believe how much concentration you needed in the oval track sport.
Trying to hit your marks, even in traffic... lap after lap after (often boring) lap. And the most I ever ran was 100 laps on a 1/3 mile.
The 3,4 and 500 mile deals!!! I don't know how they do it. I'd get to daydreaming and crash for sure :D

Thanks Dennis - luvved it!!

But machinists by their nature are always looking for new "wrinkles" (ways of doing things in the shop) aren't they?

I can think of places where they'd rather not find a wrinkle.

I think ya'll are just angry over the fact that Danica drives faster and better, at basically a higher level than any of us have or will ever drive in our lives. Whether or not she's nice, immune to having bad days, or knows anything at all about the mechanics of her ride, are all immaterial. Girl can drive. We should all have daughters or granddaughters so accomplished.

This came in the email some time ago.

----------------------------------------------------------
Ed was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary.

His wife was really angry. She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in less then 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE!!"

The next morning Ed got up early and left for work.

When his wife woke up she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought the box back in the house.

She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.

Ed has been missing since Friday.

Please pray for Ed.

Put her in a sprint car or midget and see how well she goes there. Then let her have a match race with Sarah Fisher. Fisher will come out on top of that deal.

The only nice thing about NASCAR is that you get a race almost every weekend of the year, and we can watch it live without having to get up at 3am - difficult to say that about the other series.

I would be a much bigger fan of NASCAR if it were like the Australian V8 Supercar series - Youtube has some excellent footage.
