Lazlo wired me up to get one of the Bison tail stock chucks (thats my story and I am sticking to it) when Enco had them on sale and add the 20% off code (between the sale and the coupon it went to $230 with shipping from a $483 regular price). It finally showed up today (UPS was only 4 days late) and I am very impressed. This is the Enco number RZ271-5305 5" with the MT4 taper that fit on my Colchester. Weight is about 25 pounds, the finish is very nice, and it came in wooden case with the flipped jaws and chuck key. Rotation is very smooth and the scroll feels great. I chucked up a pin in it run out with the 5/8th pin was about .00075" both next to the jaws and about 2" out. This is a very tool from the craftsmen in Poland, and if I had known how nice it was, I would have ordered one years ago.

Looks sweet, iv heard nothing but good about bison, so whats it for? does it keep you from having to center drill and put in a live center, or perhaps thick tubing that you cannot use a live center?

They are great for pieces that you do not want to drill a pilot hole in. I do some work on acrylic so it should come in handy for that.
