Drag racing is a perfect application for electric power. Range is no issue and the batteries only have to last a few seconds. Just wait until somebody thinks of pre-cooling the motor windings with LN2.

They gotta do something about the sound though. Sounds like a hopped up sewing machine.

I think someone already has,I remember a story in the news a few years back about a student built electric bike(Stanford Univ?)They basically hosed the motor down before launch and at the end of the track it was glowing hot,but the bike moved quiet fast,although nearly as quick as the Killacycle.
