Dunno about that particular one Russ, but on average most of the machines I have worked on weigh 2x's what they lift approximately.

So a 4,000lb lift will scale in around 8,000lbs.That's give or take though depnding on make model year built etc.

My Hyster H50J weighs in at 8620lbs,but is rated at 5,000.The old Datsun 5,000lb lift at work weighs in at 9,800.

So 2:1 roughly.

Sorta what I figured D. this one will lift 7500# so I'm bettin it'd weigh about 13 or 14,000.

Darin...ya it's got big tires...just three of them. Ernie (Dockrat) sent me pics of the old brute.
So where's Rollajohn when you need him???? He may know what this ol' girl weighs.
I gotta find out so I can see if it's worth getting it shipped here.

Torker, I have a VT75 Space Saver #7500 and weighted it when I put in my scales. It weights #10,000 on the money. This scales was at work and when I retired the machine and brought it home to use around here, I hung it off the bridge crane on a dillon scales just to see what it said it weighted. Bingo #10,000 on the money again. Have had this machine for over 20 years and has been a great trouble free forklift.

Wow! Thanks Wayne! This place is so cool! Ernie (Dockrat) has gone over and above to help me out with this thing.
Wayne... that's good to know. I told the trucking company it was about 14,000 pounds...they may lower their quote with that info.
Can you still get parts for the ol' girl?
