Way off topic, I picked up an old Uranium Survey lamp made by UV Products, a Mineralight. From the mid 50's, The thing actually works, only the shortwave UV filter is missing. Any ideas where to find a piece? Probably about 2.5" sq.

I assume you are looking for a UV bandpass filter? You can buy a 2" square UG-1 UV bandpass filter from Edmund Optics for $49.50. It passes only UV, looks black in visible light.

Of course, for the same money you can buy a couple of hundred ultra bright UV LEDs....

Edmunds was one of the first places I looked. But the filter I need is a bit over 2.5x2.75.

Cokin makes all kinds of optical filtersin a 3" square (i think) format. They're intended for cameras but I think they might sell you one anyway.
