View Full Version : Cool the shop?

These guys were making a good breeze, 101 F outside, but it's supposed to be hot during Fair Week. Blades looked to be about 12 - 15 ft diameter, quiet, rotating at a good clip, winglets and 3 HP, DC motors?

Just don't install one in the reachable heights over a lathe.

That's a big fan.

68 degrees F (20 degrees C) in my shop at the moment. The shop thermometer hasn't exceeded 70 degrees this summer -- despite incinerating garbage in the shop stove every morning. Something to do with 16" thick walls, being dug into a hillside, and living on top of a mountain.

those are made by a company called "BIG ASS FANS" ... a bunch of the warehouses here have them ,and at the Stampede they have them in all the stables.
