IO was kinda crude, direct rough machining, and to the point.

He had some personality flaws, but I miss him here.
I have some personality flaws too, as does anyone else that is honest with others and admits to them.

He did push some buttons better left alone. Sometimes we don't think too well and act hastily.

Yep that was his style, but I kinda got a kick outa his post, often his to the point post were not all that far out, be nice to see him back.

We take things too seriously at times.

Yep - me too Ken.

I've been on the "receiving end" from "Wolfie". We've both "dished it out" - and taken it on the jaw. I rather enjoyed the "rough and tumble" from/with "Wolfie" (but I am ex-Navy and I suspect he might be ex-military as well!!).

Some of his perhaps "terse" and "abrasive" but very direct comments were very much to the point - others not, but he wasn't alone there!! If he bruised or deflated a few "precious" egos that needed it, I can't see that that is any bad thing.

I liked his approach to machining as it was very "down to earth" which I suspect that some here can relate to.

He might have been "in your face" but he sure was not "up himself". I am sure that he and I can "knock a few sparks, "snots" and "rough edges" off each other - and enjoy it and think none the worse of it or each other.

I have no idea whether he "jumped" or was "pushed" or whether he has been "outed" for life or a lesser period or whether he is on "(conditional?) parole".

In my opinion, there is a "justice" issue here.

Only George and Wolfie know that and only they can resolve or change things.

In my mind, he is a good practical machinist and I'd like to see him back. I guess we/I will hear from those that disagree with me on Wolfie's return.

With a sort of second sight, I suspect that dear old 'Wolfie' is otherwise occupied. Wetting my fingers and guessing, isn't this old reprobate 'National Guard'?

Apart from being a 'Vet' is there much better than someone who puts his life on the line?

So Jay, you have my permission to raise two fingers to me- in a sort of sign of recognition.

Take good care- you know what I mean

Yeah, he was a prince of a fellow. I don't think he ever tried to mount me and I'm not sure why as I'm clearly not the brightest bulb on this board! I once did a historical search of his post and found a lot of one liners sort of like Don Rickles. He was a real peach.

By the way, Men go through the change of life also.

Mine brought on possibly by a nuclear plant. Thyroid and testosterone levels went nuts. If you don't know you are not thinking right, you act out against others you blame. Sometimes you wake up in prison for bad judgments.

I learned several years ago to meter myself and think things for at least a day before deciding to be angry or not. Once angry thou I may never get over it, a flaw.

I lived on testosterone and adrenalin for the first part of my life. Excitement, fun. Running that wrecker "magic" motor up to seven grand in second yesterday tells me I am still a kid.

I THINK WOLFIE should apologize to the moderators and HSM, then rejoin our ranks here. I know I would humble myself that much.

We all make daily mistakes.. OR at least I do.. I was wanting to poke a truck driver in the eye at breakfast yesterday.. but I didn't.. He had the sense to not further the problem. I'm old and self destructive now. I'll hit someone, clutch my chest and end the fight one of these days.

BUT, that 350-4bolt main motor held together ONE MORE TIME at 7000rpm.. perhaps I will?

I, for one, don't miss the completely uncalled for attacks and insults at all. Maybe it's a matter of how much collateral damage you think is acceptable.

Hey buddy, thanks for taking down that old tree in the yard for me. Too bad it took the corner off the house, broke the windshield, killed the dog and excuse me while I change my pants.

When you know it can be done much better, why say that's just fine and thank him for it?

Oddly, TG Tools is simply smearing old Jay by accusations in the 2nd and 3rd pararaphs which are either sick humour or an attempt to further defame.

It does suggest that there is every reason for TG Tools to substanstiate his accusations to the rest of us.

If he can't, surely it is his turn to to face not only the moderators as well.

True, but this board has weird personality dynamics to begin with -- and we're all a-holes from time to time (except Frank -- he's just a genuinely nice guy :D). Like TattooMike likes to say, you can't take this board too seriously.

I don't think George banned him -- at least, if he would have, it would have been during The Gurl thread, and he's posted a couple of times since then. It sounds like Wolfie might just be having technical difficulties.

I wish Wolfie would come back too -- he was definitely part of the unique "flavor" of this board :)

He'll just say something incredibly stupid again and get tossed off again. Why would VP want to get into that cycle? As for me I just hope See Snake guy gets paid :)

A bit more "colour", "lightening-up" and "loosening of corsets" would be no bad thing here.

Given a choice between "Mrs. Grundy" and "Wolfie", he would win every time.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mrs_Grundy

And as regards "tossing Wolfie off" it seems to me that some have "tossing themselves off" down to a very fine art.

Thanks TGTool

I'd rather not imagine Wolfie tossing himself off or anyone else doing the job for him!!

Hey, Jay wasnt just a gruff old ass that many have seen come and go. And even those guys have their positive moments.

And not really wanting to speak of the man unless he was here to chime up. So Ill leave it as.... I dont think he shoulda left, but that was kinda his whole attitude. Like ok, F you all, stop bullying me.

No one bullied. Thats high school mentality. Men dont get bullied. We may speak our peace and learn to expect others will also. JR

Oh, wasnt there another member that up and left in a huff. Jerry Smith or something?? Oh, and one gorilla of a fine man that had to take a leave of absence for abit, forgot his name??? Think he changed it and came back as strong as ever, what was that darn guys name LOL Some folks handle life changes in various ways. At least we are ALL still vertical........
