The local machine shop guy stopped by today. He had a big ol' two foot long broach...in both hands. It's for his heavy keyseater. There was one half in EACH hand. It got hot and stuck...he whacked it with a hammer as always..but it snapped in half. Gotta weld it for him. The new one has to come from England and will be a month.
Then the local snowmobile shop stopped by lookin for a miracle. They always do that...buggers!
A $500 piece from a sled clutch...the washer spun inside the aluminum housing. Way down in a little pocket. I can just barely get into there to weld it back up.. I just have no idea how I'll machine it back flat yet.
Let you know how it all went tomorrow night...maybe.. i may be just too mad to bother :D

OK...tomorrow is today.
The broach.. turned out great! Geez.. I thought the guy was gonna frikkin kiss me. He handed me a wad of cash nearly three times what i was going to charge.
I knocked the flux off a 11018 electrode and tigged the sukker up.
Works like a champ!
The ugly clutch job...whew! I got the ugly lil pocket weld done. Now.. I have no idea. Still trying to figure out how to machine the sides flat.
I gotta get this one. The company owner told his employee .. "There's no way he can do that. You can't even weld anything in that little hole."
I got it in there...now I just gotta get it out of there.
