Does anyone have one of these things...I want to verify that it does have a chip pan as the manual shows, but you can't see in the pictures of the thing

That's odd..I can't find that machine in their online catalog.
Um...all their other (bigger)lathes have chip pans..I don't see why this wouldn't. The only 14X40 I see is their high precision one...nearly $10,000 USD.

I cant find that # either ....but, AFAIK ALL of these similar sized lathes come with a tray. You might visit over at the yahoo 12x36/13x40 site, there are many Grizz owners over there---

Another good way might be to just call Grizzly and ask :D

It is not in the current products. It is in the archive area.

There are 2 manuals

The cover page pic of this manual (http://grizzly.com/images/manuals/g0554_m.pdf) does not show one.

On the parts lists on page 23 of this manual (http://grizzly.com/images/partslists/g0554_pl.pdf) it show part #903 a chip tray.

So depending on whether you want one or not, just read only one of these links. :) :)
