Is there a place to look up Correct drill speeds and feeds for different sizes and different materials? I kind of feel like a DA to have to ask after I have been doing it for all these many years. I don't have very good luck with my electronic searches.

I recently published a simpler chart on my website as well.

I kind of feel like a DA

I've felt like an ER collet before, occasionally like an R-8, but never a DA.

Check the machinery's handbook, or use Dan's free link, as useless and outdated as it is, it gets you in the ballpark. Don't waste your money on a new one, anything past 1950 or so is just fine and contains the same info.

Also, don't be afraid to check manufacturer's websites or call their tech lines, even if you don't have that particular manufacturer's tools, and aren't giving them 1000's of $$ a year, they don't know that, and they are usually fairly helpful, just back off on their recommended feeds/speeds about 30%(they want you to burn up tools and assume that all time is money) and you should be right there with long tool life and efficient cutting.
