I got my lathe set up in the shop today and wanted to get it wired in but I am unsure about this so I thought I would see if I can positively identify the connections. In the connector box (3 phase, 3 HP, 240V) the 4 terminals are labeled as follows,

R (black), S (blue) T (red) PE (green)

I will be using a static phase converter temporarily and I have a pretty good instruction sheet with it but I still need to make sure of the connections on the lathe itself. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

The green is very likely the ground, the others are the three phases (which is which doesn't matter). Double check this w/ a ohmmeter; there should be infinite resistance between ground and any of the phases; there will be some resistance between any of the phases.

If the motor runs backwards from the way you want, switch any two of the phases.
