The subject line says it, she is a babe. Good apprentices are hard to find, good looking ones are even harder.

When can we expect to see pictures?

I'd love to take a look too. It tends to complicate work though. You may end up regretting it. Work relationships where you are not a peer, or a subordinate, bar you from all kinds of things. It takes all the fun out of it. Be very careful and don't post any comments or pictures here that can be used against you later. Email might be a little safer for you in that regard.

Enjoy,

Spence

My last female electrical apprentice called me a Male-dominant-bully-chavenist pig-bast_rd... but now that she has topped out and is a electrician, she appreciates the things I taught her keeping her safe and her fingers on her hands. (her words not mine)

Geeze, when I used to travel and do service work, I would have loved (*choke) to have a female apprectice. 600 miles from home they all are beautiful, even the ones in Oklahoma with moustaches.

I can't believe any female would say such a thing to you, you seem so gentle.I would have thought you spent most of your time quoting them poetry and verses from the bible. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif

As I always say to my PC bosses in what I now call "little Amazonia" - Does not matter female / male, troll or beauty, AC/DC, showers on a regular basis, just as long as he / she can do the job, does not need personal spoonfeeding on the job by me, can continue learning, and makes the company they work for a profit and good employee, the person is welcome.

Sure she's pretty, but she's just a kid!

jfsmith

She's just a kid, who can use my gas welder, my MIG welder, she can do basic lathe work, can make jigs and keeps the cat entertained.

Plus we all have to start somewhere in our lives to become a chip maker.

Thrud has seen her in her welding garb, that should be on a calendar.

I had a very atractive female apprentice off and on for several years. I was over 40 at the time and she was 20 something. Once I got over coveting her perky little body (always an obstacle) ours became a mentor/protege relationship.

I helped her with her studies, adjusted the atitudes of a couple would-be harassers, counseled her over boyfriend troubles, and in general took great pleasure watching her go from a hesitent new apprentice to a confident young machinist ready for anything the boss could throw at her from the job table.

I never saw her outside of work but at work we were pretty close and we worked well together. She went off to greener pastures soon after she graduated andI lost touch with her. I sometime wonder about many of my long gone proteges and how their careers are shaping up but Nancy being female and me being male the bond was a bit different like she was one of my nieces.

Mark of an old fart machinist: getting sentimental over acquaintences.

I worked with a lot of women in Germany for five years they were every bit as capable and sometimes more that the guys so I am not surprised by this women are after all just men with brains http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif Alistair

***And besides, watching a 300 pound redheaded woman welder squat down and show hairy buttcrack welding-cutting throwing sparks just turns me on.

She was large, hard and mean, but had a heart of the softest silk and would cry over nothing.

I had an under 20 female working with me doing satelite system instals once. The jobs were done quicker, and the tips were better than at any other time. The customers were quite amused by the fact that she could use a shovel, mix cement, and work unsupervised, getting their job done efficiently. Another time, my then girlfriend was hired at my place of work to do 2 weeks worth of write-ups on the gear we sold. Not only was she done in 3 days, she uncovered a theft ring operating in part from our store. The owner didn't believe her, and paid for it dearly with the loss of over 20 g's in stock.

Ibew if her buttcrack was throwing sparks as you suggest I think she had plenty to cry about http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif

Around here we call "buttcrack", "Bubba cleavage".

Scandanavian ancesters makes for big bellies and pancake butts among their male descendants. Hereabouts, sedate and civilized wives and mothers have been known to go into hysterical laughter when they compare notes on buttcracks they've seen.

We have plenty of women in the trades here also - some with major weight qualifications. Can't recall any Bubba cleavage. Must be a "build thing".

Why is the table on your band saw so high, or is Ann sitting down on the job?

She placed the bandsaw so she could stand and see what she was cutting. It's not a large bandsaw, so it can be moved easily.

Thrud and all,
The little lady is looking for work. She takes instruction well, does outstanding work in her job.
She appears in the Weekender section of the local newspaper.

Look at the second picture. Jerry, you could take a lesson from Ann and tie a shirt around your waist to hide that "Bubba Cleavage"! http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//tongue.gif http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//tongue.gif http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//tongue.gif

Nice sculpture!

That's some nice work Jerry, and quite a lovely young lady.Have you tought her to curse and swear yet?Thats lesson one if you are to be a machinist or welder, proper use of profanity in a sentence is most important http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif

She curses in Spanish, where I curse it is in French.
My son is older than she is, and the comfort around my belt line is from years of good beer (Canadian of course) and Momma Carsonies Pizza

She is single, 25 years old, will finish university in 2 terms. Comes from Colorado, her family is from Spain.

If you make enough money to support an artist, then she may be interested.

She moves the machines and tools to meet her needs for height and vision. I sometimes stand on a tool box, and I am taller than her.

As a tattoo artist, I had this dancer who was apprenticing, a 28 year old redhead.

AS a tattooist she was advancing pretty good, as a man-magnet she was already a pro.

When the money started rolling in, her cocaine habit surfaced and I kicked her in the butt and stopped the apprenticeship. (My previous partner had hit me for 10,000 in losses over his habit.)

Heck, Jerry, I barely make enough money to support myself. But for her? I'd happily find a way to support her! (Who needs two kidneys anyway?)
