i bought an inexpensive parting tool and blade off e-bay, unfortunately it does not say on the blade what inserts it uses. the blade is .087" thick and 1.250" tall. anyone have any idea what inserts will fit?http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t78/quadrod426/P1010050.jpg

Looks like the GT series would fit:

I haven't seen one of them before. What holds the carbide insert in place?---Brian

that uses the GT2 series inserts. those work ok for manual applications. the insert gets wedged between the top and bottom of the gap.

The GT series has a 2, 3, 4 for sizes. yours is a GT2. the GTN, GTR or GTL tell what kind of offset the tools have. the N is neutral for a flat face cut and the R and the L have about 8 set back on one side of the tool so the edge comes to a point.
