Will this pendant,

work with Mach 3?

I am also wondering what the difference is in what they are calling Max III and Mach3. The screen shots look very similar.

That pendant is simply a Contour Shuttle Express.

There is also a Shuttle Pro with more buttons that can be had on eBay for about $85.

They work well with Mach 3. Just don't install the drivers they come with. You can download the plugin to run it from the Mach 3 site.

As for the screenshots, it looks like they are using some Mach 3 with some customized screens.
