Reversing direction of powered cross feed on SB9

I have a SB 9 model A. The powered cross feed moves toward the oprator away from the axis of the lathe. Is there a way to have the powered cross feed toward the axis of the lathe?
    Thanks Paul

    In this picture:

The small lever on the left end of the lathe head stock, below the red switch handle and above the quick change gear box. You open the cabinet and loosen the bolt and then move the lever either up or down depending on the direction you want the feed to move in. Later models may have a pull pin lever that does not require the bolt to be loosened or the door opened but the action is the same.

Yes, just run the lathe in reverse
Sorry about the bad joke. There is a lever on the apron that has 3 holes.
      The middle hole is neutral.
The upper hole position moves the carriage from left to right.
The lower hole moves the tool post inward and outward.

So, if you want the tool post to move away from you do this........
Position the lever on the apron to the low hole.
Go over to the left of your headstock and place the plunger selector in the lower hole.
Turn on the lathe and tighten the clutch star.
The tool post will move away from you.
Placing the left hand plunger selector in the upper hole will make the tool post move toward you.
Of course if the lathe is running backwards, these directions of motion are reversed............ pg
