Wow! That seems like odd bedfellows -- since when was Dow interested in CNC machinery?

I've always been disappointed that the Austin Community College doesn't have a machine shop class. When I took the multi-process welding class there, my instructor mentioned that Gene Haas offered several million dollars in brand-new Haas CNC machinery to ACC to create a CNC class. ACC, for reasons that no one understands, turned him down.

Six months later, he was convicted of tax evasion, conspiracy and witness intimidation.

Uh, guys, Rohm and Haas is a chemical company, the one that invented Plexiglas. That's why Dow is merging with them. One Haas is not the same as all Haas'.

LOL!

Rohm, of course, is a German company that makes high-end chucks. Gene Haas is in jail, and "Rohm and Haas" is a apparently a chemical company :D
