I THINK i saw in a recent issue of HSM, an article about building a micrometer carriage stop.

Since I cannot find it in my pile of magazines, did I just dream about it?

Can someone tell me which issue that contained that article?

Thanks, in advance!

The most recent carriage stop article in HSM was in the March/April 2008 issue.

Thanks for the quick feedback. Ill go digging in my past issues.

Made a modification to my factory Logan carriage stop today. It's allways been a nuisance to have the tighting bolt head underneath. Since original was threaded into a blind 3/8 hole, I drilled on thru with a 5/16 drill. For the bottom plate, I counter bored about 3/4 the way thru, then machined a plug to press fit into the counter bore, threaded to accept the 5/16 bolt comming in from the top. Now I can set and tighten the carriage stop from above, just like on the big machines!

Now, please excuse me while I go dig through my past issues!
