I got a metal table for free which was too long. I unbolted the feet and used my zip cut to cut a large piece off. Then as i was thinking of throwing it away i brought itm to mt tool cart and it fit between the inside legs nicely. NOW i machines over a 100 holes into it to hold ALL MY R8 Tooling i have. I fiugger i can just sklide it in and out BUT where do you get or how would you make a strong roller glide assembly? Thanx Mike

you could use a pr of heavy duty drawer runners like these

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/4WD-Drawer-Runners-Fridge-Slides-H-Duty-650mm-100kg_W0QQitemZ220417001575QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_C ar_Parts_Accessories?hash=item220417001575&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C 301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

Or possible a set of runners from an old filing cabinet (not sure if they would take the weight though)
Or you could make a set of heavy duty runners yourself using bearings. Check out some recent kitchen drawer or office drawer runners to see how they are done and then beef up the design.

hope this helps

Lee Valley Tools, Hardware Catalogue, has a listing for some sooper heavy weight slides. They will work a treat, but cost a bit. Duffy

Mike.. I bought a dozen roller slides for drawers.. not sure you can buy them in just onesie twosies..
I can slip one set in a box.. is it your birthday again at the customes office?

er name is Audrey, not after your wife, but after the lil shop of horrors movie plant.

I once made a set of Rollers to go into some sideways mounted channel.. some cheap plastic castors that come with something I didn't mount them on.. mounted sideways, when it was weighted down, it rode on the top rail, counter weighted it rode on the bottom rail.. Super rollers.. My big toolbox should have some so good.. it has roller slides, but they suck.
