Can I use CAT 50 holders in the Milwaukee 2H Vertical Mill? The spindle is a NST 50 but it looks like the CAT 50's are threaded to accept a "retention" knob and I think that thread is the same 1-8 of a draw bar. Obviously, the flange would play no role in my application.
Any thoughts?

The tapers on the various NST holders are the same and they can be interchanged. The thread for the drawbar and the flange being the main difference. The Cat holders do not have the extended "neck" for the drawbar thread and might require a different length drawbar than the NST or an adaptor.
