OT. Got some business in Vancouver WA and I need a nice place to meet an old friend now living in Oregon. Object is good food, quiet surroundings. etc but nothing fancy so we can talk over shared history where we used to work. I was thinking Mexican or Chinese handy to freeway exits etc.

Any suggestions?

"Love, Peace and Crabs"
How about "Joe's Crab Shack".
Under the North End of the Interstate Bridge (I-5) in Vancouver, that crosses over the Columbia River to Portland Or.
Get a big Pot full of Crab, Cray Fish, Sausage and a mess of good stuff.

The REAL Vancouver (British Columbia) has some good Thai restaurants.

mayfieldtm, I was thinking of the same place but couldn't remember the name. Excellent choice.

Mexican food in Washington is frightening. I'd go for seafood.

Definitely is difficult to find authentic Mexican food here. It's mostly Americanized, or Mexican influenced. Our seafood is quite good, though. I've been known to drive 30 miles for alder plank halibut.

The crab pot under the bridge is good. It even smells good when you're still outside.
