I wanted to try a thread forming tap, I found the formula for the predrilled hole. But wear do you find the information for the percentage of thread engagement for a particular application. This will be in 6061 aluminum for a JIC fitting operating at 500psi

Cant help you with a formula but if you tell me the tap size I will attach a picture with all that information shown.

It will be 3/4 X 16tpi
