I have an Acer Ultima 3VS mill with Proto Trak MX2 control on it.The mill has a 3HP 3 phase motor with single 480 volt only and i need a motor with the dual voltage 240/480 so i can wire it for 240v so i can use a phase converter as my shop is not 3 phase.I was wondering if anyone would have a motor to fit this machine if so let me know price or if you would be interested in trading for the motor i have.Or does anyone have any ideas on getting the mill running with the motor that is already on it.Thanks

mikep379,
I trust you don't want to use a transformer. The other way is to buy a VFD with 240V in 480V out, might not be cheap. Might be cheaper than a new motor.

Just thought I would throw both ideas out there. You may throw the out as well.

Thanks,
Paul
