Metals prices are really low right now and especially industrial alloys. You will have to call to find out the current price that anybody is willing to pay. A year ago it was as high as $12 per pound but that is mainly subject to the price of tungsten and to a lesser degree the price of cobalt.

FYI, Tungsten carbide scrap is recycled by heating the scrap until the cobalt binder vaporizes from the part and collected which leaves a porous and friable skeleton of the tungsten carbide matrix which is easily crushed to powder and reprocessed.

This doesn't help you, Mcgyver, but here is a website I like for scrap metal prices:

http://www.scrapindex.com/metal/

It is updated daily and its free! Alot of sites want you to purchase a membership in order to view the markets. This is helpful, imo, in determining what to offer someone for a machine. If it's likely to bring "scrap price" you can determine what scrap price actually is ;)
