Hi there, I'm building a small machine that needs a worm drive and gears (metal), the lenght of gear needed is approx 18" and about the size of a dime is there anywhere I can go in the Los Angeles area to find these gears, I'm also looking for some help! As not a pro myselft, maybe a retired gent (Glendale Area) many thanks.

I do not know any thing about Los Angeles.But a place that big would have any thing you could want. Get out the yellow pages and look under Bearing suppliers . And Industrial suppliers for power and transmission equipment. such as Motion Industries ,Applied Technology and such. I live in a small town but we have both bearing supply houses plus a local one that has any thing you could ever want in that line of product.
