I know that given the current state of availability of reloading supplies  this may sound like a silly post, but I was sorting through my brass and ran across some .223 Wolf casings. Is this reloadable?
Are there any groups out there that are geared towards reloading?
I'm sure most of the contributers on this page roll their own ammo, and can shoot me a link...

No go E.T., Wolf ammo has steel cases and Berdan primed :(

Here is a link to a reloading video that is inexpensive enough.

if it's the Wolf steel cases, then as Ken stated, it isn't reloadable. Wolf does have standard brass-cased ammo, and those cases can be reloaded. the steel cases are the grayish-green color. the brass cases are obviously brass, you won't mistake one for the other.

just about any site dedicated to firearms will have a reloading section. honestly, the best course of action is to purchase one of the reloading manuals (the Lyman Reloading Handbook comes to mind) and read through it and then post questions. feel free to shoot me a PM or email if you want.

The Wolf ammo that is brass and re-loadable is the Wolf Gold series, you don't see much of it though.

Thanks for the input. I've done a fair amount of reloading with my Lee Pro 1000 in 38 & 357Mag.
Now that I know they are sporting Berdan primers, I'll pull them out of the pile.
My reloading manual (Speer) gives info on repriming Berdans, but it's not worth the hassle. I'm still hunting for regular primers. I was happy to score 3 boxes of Large pistol primers today and a lonely bag of .223 55gr FMJBT. The store had a couple boxes of 62gr. but I don't care for that heavy of a bullet in my AR unless I'm gonna punch through some armor, and I don't anticipate that need in the near future... Hopefully I will hit upon a source for the small rifle primers I need for the .223
Hopefully things we calm down soon. I am still looking for supplies for my 270Win brass. That gets painful in the wallet to shoot...

Easy enough to tell them apart. Just look down inside the empty case. If you see a single flash hole in the center of the case head = boxer primed, like your .38's & .357's. :)

If you see two flash holes, side-by-side = Berdan primed. :(

It's best to check any cases with a magnet. I've found some S&B 9mm cases recently that are boxer primed and appear to be brass, however, they are steel and not reloadable IMO.

Unfortuneately I reloaded sever hundred steel wolf 223 cases before someone told me I couldn't do it. The Wolf 223 cases I have are boxer NOT berdan primed. All fed and fired without incident. Now I know better :D

If they worked, why quit? The problem with reloading of the steel cases is the resizing process. They do not reform as easily as the brass cases. If you had success in doing it, don't stop just becasue some one said it isn't possible to do!

LOL - I only stopped after I acquired 4,000 brass cases and I still keep the Wolf. I use the same lube for sizing as I do swaging - Anhydrous lanolin and a little mineral oil. Lube, size, and reload with the lacqure on the case. They are free for the picking up as are the spent 22LR cases which I make 55gr 223 bullets out of. With surplus WC846 it cost a little over a nickle a round for 223.
