I was wondering if anyone uses Millwrite software. I have a Proto Trak MX2 and was told with Millwrite software you could engrave letters and numbers.I want to see if anyone is doing this and if it works good.Thanks

Yes I used to use it, still have a copy but I now find it very slow and obsolete compared to modern software.
It's a windows application but looks like DOS on acid, you are limited to the fonts it comes with which are very similar.
The new version can do true type fonts
It does work and if it's on a small shop computer it will work fine but on my desktop the main problem is when you go to find a file it has to organise the directory tree of the whole drive, OK first time takes ages but that should be it.
Problem is on a busy computer that directory tree is always changing and it has to do this everytime which can take 3 or 4 minutes.
Not used it in about 3 or 4 years now, I use Vectric software to do the same thing which is far more powerful and costs about the same.
