Found these on Hackaday the past couple days. Actually have something to do with machining.

First is a guy that built a automatic injection molding machine complete down to the controller:

Second is Tatjana van Vark's website. Some pretty amazing work!

Max's Robot Shop -- that guy is amazing. Good taste in machinery too ;)

 some people have a lot of time and money they don't know what to do with and are extremely creative.

Thanks for posting this site, very interesting and great work ... I feel like a real slacker now seeing what he has done.

Update:

First URL (http://www.users.uswest.net/~kmaxon/page/side/mold_mach_137.htm):
I have visited every page of his site in the last 24 hours and I am just blown away by what all he has done. Yes, he does have LOTS of tools/toys but it appears he really does use them. He has built/engineered some incredible devices. I have seen what many people call their dream shop ... this one (his new one) is now mine. Especially since it is not an all mechanical or electrical/electronic shop but both. I am not one to be able to work on stuff like he has in such small amounts of time and stick with it for years like he has, but it sure is inspiring to see. Maybe I'm not getting enough caffeine in my diet like his site would indicate?? ;-) I think this is one of my new favorite sites.

The second site is quite impressive as well but only on the finished side of things. The pieces are works of functional art but the behind the scenes stuff (shop) is what really does it for me. But still just as amazing.

I found my own mouth hanging open several times ...
