I passed through North Bay a few years back. We were hauling loads of Barley from Winnipeg down to the maltsters (brewers) in the Guelph area.

Woke up in North Bay, drove to Guelph, unloaded, back to North Bay for Supper. 4 trucks, approximately 95,000 lb payload per truck.

For those that aren't aware, we can gross just over 137,700 lbs. on 8 axles up here in the frozen north!

Thanks for posting your question airsmith282, I am not very close to North Bay, but I see that I am not very far from Mcgyver in Toronto about 1hr.

Studentjim, I used to race at Welland County Speedway every Sat night a long time ago about a 1 1/2 hr away. I know a couple of families from Port Colborne, from my racing days.

Madman is about 45 mins. away. We were in Kitchener a month ago removing a big old boring mill from Chicopee Machine and I lived in Kitchener for 2yrs.

Sometimes it really is a small world.

Dave from Scotland Ontario.
