    Some motorcycle porn for y'all

Was looking through the Kneeslider website and found this interesting link. Don't know The Kneeslider? Check it out, for all those who love all things motorcycle.

This fine gentleman Gordon Calder specializes in taking pictures of motorcycle engines, very nice engines. He uses photoshop to completely remove the rest of the surroundiing bike - frame, body panels, etc. These engines are actually sitting in working bikes, but the photos make them appear to be floating in motor heaven. Lovely artwork, both photographs and the machines themselves.

        More!

I forgot to mention the granddaddy (sp?) of custom bike websites: http://amdchampionship.com/content.php?page=front

Some totally badass stuff here, representing really fine metalwork in all its forms: casting, machining, welding, plating, tube bending, sheet metal work, etc. Oh, and the bikes are cool too.

        Feast your eyes....

            Look up a artist "turnipseed".

I have a lithograph they did of "chucks knuck" amazing details..

I did similar art work, but I cheated.. I took a slide projector, took a slide of a panhead and traced it, moved it over and smudged shadows in. I used to do air brushing like that too.

Then there was old "DAVID MANN" from the 70s easyrider series..
            Excuse me, I farted.

I thought you were talking about motorcycle engines but all I saw were Harley engines...

There is a David Mann website where you can still buy his art work at various price levels.

About 15 of the pix are of Hardly-Ablesons. Ho-hum ...

On the other hand, any collection of photos which manages to include an AJS, a Matchless, a Velocette, a couple of Indians, Nortons and Vincents, and a Brough Superior can't be all bad.
