Ok, you know the rules, you tell me what it is because I have no idea.
I found it on the ground outside of a post office. Did it fall off a space
shuttle, belong to the post office, or what?? It's 2.77" x 2" x .630" with
a 43 degree angle on one side. It's also very heavy. Looks like stainless
but is about twice as heavy as brass, a good bit heavier than steel. The
hole is 9/32" in diameter except at the very bottom it's .265".

Thanks,
Ed P

It's a paperweight, with a built in pen holder.

Looks like it's made of Kryptonite. Does it make you feel sort of weak and lethargic? It did that to me just looking at it.

Perhaps it is made of Mallory 3000, which is often used for balancing.

Huh. It's the week for finding chopper parts. :D I found this doodad in a secondhand store several days ago. Cost me a dollar.

Turns out to be part of the tailrotor linkage for a Bell helicopter, probably a "Huey". No idea how it wound up in a junk shop next to the boxful of old rusty pliers, but hey. Maybe I'll make part of a throttle linkage out of it. :D

Thanks Bob!! It never occurred to me to do that. Now all I need do
is figure out how it ended up at the Post Office. There has been no
crash so maybe someone was mailing it. Maybe I can sell it on Ebay
if a new one cost that much!

Some more wasting of time because I am retired with nothing else to do produced a weight for this THING.

70219-01045-105 7.80 lb

They want money to get a picture so that ended the search.

Have fun,

Lockheed's C130's used these as flushweights, incorporated in each aircrafts' toilet seat. Priced accordingly?

Here's a table that describes how to change the weights based on measured vibration

It's an educational widget, throw it away before you become so intelligent that no one can stand to have you around.

It looks like a pawl off a pawl pawl machine and if so is very dangerous. It causes people to pawl around and get into all kinds of trouble. Give to to some one you don't like and watch what happens.

That cage code is for Sikorski, so my guess it the drawing is owned by them.

It was last procured for the $717, as a single piece, looks like it goes down to about $400 when it was bought a couple years ago in quantity(28pcs).

Material is listed as steel.

At $717 that gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Boy that sure is
expensive cr*p!"
