I have a LeBlond Regal 13" lathe, and it is missing the thread data plate. I am hoping someone else with a Regal can take a good quality picture of the thread data plate and forward it to me. PLEASE?

We've got three of them at the school. I'll try to remember to take a picture you need Monday.

Here's some photos of the thread data plate:

Let me know if you have trouble reading any of the numbers. Maybe I can do a rubbing. :D

I will post a picture of the front of my lathe shortly, I have a different model than that one. I don't think that thread chart is the one I need. Thanks for the picture though!

I have a LeBlond Regal 19" lathe, will take a pic of the threading plate if you think it might help. Will wait to see a picture of your lathe.

Here's what you're looking for. Shoot me a PM with an email where you can receive a 3.5mb file, and I'll send you a high res scan. You can clean it up with "paint" or some other program and then print it out and get it laminated. If you do that, I'd appreciate a return email with a cleaned-up file for myself.

I went ahead and did much of the "cleanup" already.

Here's mine:

At the lower LH corner of the chart is a diagram of the lower lever, which has 4 positions, A,B,C, and D, with 'A' being on the RH side, 'D' on the LH.

The main lever has 8 positions, which is what yours appears to have.

The images I posted are the correct ones for the OP's lathe. When he gets my file, all he has to do is reproduce it to match the dimension shown below. It will then fit his gearbox slots properly. The dimension line states that it is 4.0" from the one end of the slot data to the other. Overall dimensions of the plate are 3.5" x 6.25" The LeBlond part number that is stamped on this plate reads "No B - 80C – 53 - S"

FWIW, I just got off the phone with LeBlond in Cincinnati (phone #888-532-5663). The Index Plate (proper name for it, I guess) is available in both the original form (B-80C-53-S) and in a "newer" style for $53 plus shipping. I went ahead and ordered a new Index Plate as well as the only available documentation (67 pages @ $80) that covers some maintenance as well as the exploded parts diagram. When I get the new plate, I can scan it for a nice, crisp, image; but @$53 for a new plate, you have to wonder how much time & money you would save trying to "jury rig" something.
