Thanks Wierd, didn't think I'd be watching "tv" for the better part of 45 min., but it was well worth it. A lot better than "How it's Made", no ditz in the background with a poorly researched dialog.

I always wondered what all went into a casting of such magnitude.
Kind of reminded me of the William Doxford and Sons (http://www.shipsnostalgia.com/guides/William_Doxford_and_Sons)engine yard.

Any idea of where or when this was shot? I take it that it was fairly recent, but there's a distinct lack of safety gear (hard hats and safety glasses), plus the one guy was smoking on the job. Looks like WWII antics, but I think I saw a digital readout on something.

I'll agree that it's well worth watching!

I'm guessing 1988/9 from the shots of the DAF trucks in video 1 and 4 and in video 2 T'Pau's, China in your hand is playing on the radio.

I recognize the Beck & Pollitzer sign on the truck door,heavy hauling and millwrighting is they're specialty IIRC.
