View Full Version : CNC'ed a pumpkin! First ever? Probably not, but fun!

A buddy asked if we could do it, I said, what the heck, we can try. Orriginally I was going to set up the 4th axis and make this my first attempt at rotary machining, but I found a big ol' pumpkin with a big flat spot, so I started with that. It took about a half hour to carve, it took about 4 hours to do the CAD/CAM work. Probably quicker to hand cut it, but it was more fun this way.

Who would have ever thought of CNC'n a Pumpkin ?

Gotta say though, pretty dang cool.

Hahaha, that is awesome!! I opened this thread expecting to see a steel or aluminum pumpkin that you had programmed, this is way better!!
