Well, it isn't exactly what ya would call high tech machining...but it is still cutting metal:D
I had to cut thirty discs 1/4'' thick by just under 8''.

This is turning 4'X8'X1'' plate into 16''X20'' pieces.

I'm not sure how I managed to get two different size pictures, I thought I resized them the sameIsn't plasma great, sure beats a jigsaw:D

No it is not CNC Rob, it is a couple generations simpler than that.:(
Variable speed motor with a magnetic drive wheel that follows the sample part.

Fred, it will follow any shape as long as a 1/4'' dia. drive wheel doesn't get stuck in the sample.

Originaly fitted with an oxy torch, up graded to plasma maybe the next upgrade will be CNC:D

What are you using for a plasma cutter? Must be substantial to do 1" material.

I bet he has a hypertherm those units kick butt.

I have a Hypertherm attached to a CNC table. Pal...DO the CNC ...you will never look back. I love mine.

Yes it is a Hypertherm, but 1'' is the limit. 1/4''- 1/2'' is it's happy place and anything thin ya have to move so fast to get a nice cut it is to much like work.

I don't use it enough to justify the cost for CNC.
