About 35 years ago there was an article in Live Steam magazine on building a small bending jig; the author also explained how to setup the jig up for different radius‘s. I made a copy of it and put away in a safe place, unfortunately I can’t find that safe place now. The pictures are only to give a general idea of the setup. I need to put a 90 degree bend in 1/8” 2024T aluminum. According to the AirCraft Spruce catalog the 90 degree bend should have a radius 4 times the thickness. I cheated a little and set it for 3 times the thickness, a 3/8” radius. I used two 3/8” drills to set the distance. Am I doing this right. No, I didn’t try bending it, that’s only hardware grade stock in there now, I just order the real stuff today.
