Greetings,

I'm Jonathan <aka Metalshaper>. Got that nickname from my BP shootin' buds, when they figure out most of my gun parts were hand built and from scrap metal stock. Most of my shooting is Black powder and I build whatever suits my interest at the time. Lots of guys make flinters, no problem with that!! I tend to build Mule ear and Underhammer guns right now? Have a old C&B revolver I'm going to 'home shop' convert to my version of a Richards- Mason
cartridge gun. will eventually build a copy of the Billinghurst revolver rifle, just cause I think they are Cool!! Even trying to work on a version of the Casull/RMAC, .22A turret rifle!!

My shop has evolved from a drill press, hacksaw, chisels, files and grinder..
to include a 60's model Craftsman 109 6X12 lathe, a Sieg X2 mini mill and a grizzly disc/belt sanding unit.. not much by some standards,, but I manage to get-r done??

Some of my work is shown in these links!

Miss Muley, built with just basic hand tools and a drill press

Well that is about it. Kinda rambled some, but hopefully I'll find a way to contribute to the work being done by this group!1

Bob,

hadn't edited my profile yet.:o

I live in the Kansas City area,, over on the Kansas side of the border! Live in one of the bigger 'burbs', but have still managed to have a Hawk block in the backyard! While living in the City, I have dressed and brain tanned a deer hide< the shooting bag in Muley photo > and set up a forge and blacksmithed.

Figure the neighbors must LOVE me? ;)

Respect Always
Jonathan

What is amazing is that the old matched set dueling pistols with fancy engraving and all that stuff were done with drills, saws and files by hand! And it only took 6 months!

Jonathan;

Welcome to the site. Very nice work and attractive designs as well. It is the craftsman, not the machine, who produces quality work.

Hopefully we will see more of your projects.
