I'm new to semi pistols. I have just bought a 40 cal Tauras and am having a hard time loading the mag. After about 4 rounds it gets very hard to push another round in and at 7 that's it. Is there some easy way to load the mag or do I just have to get stronger fingers?

there a magazine loaders which give you extra leverage available. I don't own any, but your gunshop or a web search should help find what you need if available for your particular gun.

Is it a ten-round mag? I've noticed on newer firearms (well, anything newer than a 1911 :) ), that the mags seem ever-harder to load. I'm not sure why, unless it is because the handgun cycles so fast that it needs to shove the next round up against the slide in 0.0001ms.

Taurus also makes one.
The double stack magazines can be a pain.
You will get better @ it the more you do it.
