Many of us seem to often create a duplicate when posting a reply. I don't profess to know why, but I've found a fix that seems to work for me (when I can remember to do it):
After posting a reply and viewing it, I've found that if I DO NOT use the 'back' button, but rather the "HOP TO: ..." feature at the lower right corner, to return to the listing of topics, then I avert the double post.
(added) When I do forget and use the 'back' button, I'll usually get a "Warning: Page has Expired...." screen. If I just refresh at that point I WILL get a double post (without fail). But if I renew the URL line and start over at the '...homeshopmachinist.net' home page then I can again avoid the double post.
