Hi. While looking at new inserts for my endmills, I noticed that CBN and ceramic inserts are starting to hit the market in the HSM price range (<$10 an insert), Also 'Cermet' inserts that seem to be something diffrent from ceramic.
I know very little of either of these materials other then they can make carbide look pathetic in some applications (judgeing by the youtube videos of sparks flying like hes grinding not milling)

Does anyone have any refrence material on these styles of insert and what pros/cons they have on verious materials? Or have any personal experiance with them on larger HSM level machines? (IH mill, 1236HF lathe, both about 800~1000lbs each)
