Chriskats post about a good tool grinder has prompted me to ask if anyone has recommendations for a good tool grinder near Seattle or thereabouts.

????

Thanks,
Pete

Pete,
I use Swift Tool in Kent, 800-562-0900. They aren't the cheapest but they seem to get it right. I was using a guy in Paradise Ca but he dropped off the face of the earth. I sent him a big box of tools to be sharpened about 6 months ago and never heard a word back.

I use Eastside Saw in Bellevue 800-962-0279. They will do UPS and even furnish mailing boxes for saw blades. I have them do my jointer knives, saw blades, endmills and make my bandsaw bands. Also a great place to buy woodworking tools.

There is no one here on the Kitsap Peninsula so I take my endmills.etc. to the local Fastenal. They send them to a shop somewhere in the midwest.
Not cheap and not fast but at least thet are local.
So far I'm happy with the results.
