Man. Assuming it isn't a wreck, how could you go wrong?

That is one very serious lathe;

I emailed him and he sent me photos. It is about a 10" lathe, certainly not what is pictured in the link JC posted. The seller's idea of "not used" and my idea of "not used" do not seem to correlate. :)

And just WHERE is Hartford? I can imagine there is one in at least
half a dozen states.

It's Connecticut. I saw the photos. I think he means it was moved in 60 years ago and not used, but the lathe is older than that. It has an overhead motor and belt drive. Does have QC gear box though. Bronze bearings I think. It would probably be a nice older style lathe.

Yeah, it's in CT, not PA. I only asked the guy for photos to see what he had. Of course, I am not adverse to making a road trip for something worthwhile. :) In this instance, I won't be making any roadtrips.

If anyone wants to see photos just email the guy through Craigslist. He responded promptly to my request and seems like an okay guy from the email.

If it is a cone pulley, it could be like this one;

Bradford does not appear to have made a lathe smaller than 14" according to tony's site.

I'm at work so I can't get to CL, but there was more equipment listed yesterday.
They must need a TON of space....
And yes it's Connecticut.
