Go for it! That is a selling point with the Micro-Mark 3 MT lathes and mills: interchangable goodies.

I have a full set of MT3 collets that I use in my lathe. Why not, it works.

The only drawback to using Morse collets in a lathe is that you don't have a "through" hole for long stock. Typical lathe collets (e.g. 5C) are designed to work with a hollow drawbar so you can put long stock through them. Otherwise...no problem.
