I have updated this information in the Workshop Information thread in this forum, but thought I would add a thread here to give people a chance to ask questions. The prices listed reflect the 2010 prices for per-night rental of the dorm rooms at Eastern Michigan University. EMU is located only three miles away from the campus of Washtenaw Community College, making it one of the closest lodging options.

So, you have close and cheap, what’s not to like? The dorms also feature wireless internet for no extra charge. The internet may not work in all rooms, but there are several common areas where the reception is good.

The prices are:
Single occupancy – $23/night
Double occupancy – $17/night
Linen rental – $4/night

The linen rental is optional; bring your own if you want.

The college is now set up to handle your reservations and payment. You can pay with Visa or Mastercard. To make your reservations, contact Eastern Michigan University directly at (734)487-4108 or (734)487-0248 and ask for Cathy or Meg.

We are fortunate to have this option and I think it will prove to be very popular. The total number of rooms is capped, so don't wait too long!

I just heard from the Cathy at EMU, and we have had a number of people sign up already. With the price and location, this should prove to be great way to attend the workshop without breaking the bank. Even though it is filling up, we have a large block of rooms reserved, so there is still room for you. If you are interested, give Cathy a call at (734)487-4108 or (734)487-0248.

I just learned that there will be a $3/night charge for parking at the school. I'm sorry for the late notice of this fee, I just heard of it myself.

If you have any questions about it, contact me or Cathy at the dorm office.

I just heard from EMU (6/14) that they have no more dorm rooms to rent. Hopefully, of those planning on staying there have already made their reservations.
