So Ive got my X3 mill all set up, everything wired up correctly to the best of my knowledge, and hooked my PC up to it with Mach3 installed.

I had run the drivertest.exe, with excellent results.

Everything seems to be working correctly, but I can't get any of the axis's to jog/move.

I just read through the Mach3 startup manual again, but am still a bit confused as to what to do next.

I have a C10 board

I wired the 5v PS as shown, but I do not have a switch- or even a 5v + lead to the "Enable" contact. Is this my problem?

Looks to me it would have to have 5v there too

Got to config, Ports and pins, then Motor Outputs.
Do you have X Y and Z enabled and the correct pins selected ?

Link pin 10 to enable, this way when you hit the estop it also kills the logic to the drivers.

I "think" i have the correct pins selected, but I am not 100%.

To clarify, would that be the numbers on the BO board where the wires are connected?

Step - is 2, Dir - is 3 for my X if I recall on my BO board, would I select those in the chart in Mach3?

(I'm hoping my goof is with my post above, it makes sense to me that the Enable contact would need 5v- which it doesnt have atm)

As another clarification, the Checks for Lowactive would not prevent the axis from responding at all would it? I dont think I will need any of those checkmarked from what Ive read, just want to rule it out if I can

But yes, X, Y and Z are enabled, and have pins selected, but they were default- placed by Mach3. I wasnt sure where to get the pin numbers, if that just means the numbers on the board where the wires are connected I'll check that.

If you have wired up as per the keeling sheet then the chart i have posted is correct.

DirLowActive specifies the way the table moves
StepLowActive works better on some boards as it moves on the falling pulse or rising pulse depending, just try it.

Have you also entered the number of steps need to move in Config Motor tuning ?

Got it working! :D

The wrong pins were enabed

My X and Y are backwards, Z is correct. I also need to config the motors I guess, its not travelling the correct dimensions. However Im happy to see it moving so Ill call it a victory for today :)
