Saw an ad in Craigs list for a bunch of tool bits by the pound. Bought about 10 pounds of lathe tool bits in different sizes ( all usable for me) including Rex 95, Circle C, Stellite, Mo-Max and a few Sweden made ones and some unmarked for $40. They are mostly ground to various but usable and common shapes bot do not seem to have been used at all. They are gound beutifully and do not look like a pedestal grinder job. All ground surfaces wether flat or radiased (sp?) are perfect. I'll post a picture as soon as I work out the steps for posting. I was going to order a bunch of mo-max and I am glad I waited. I could have only got 4 or 5 of the 3/8" mo-max for the price I got these for. DavidH

Check price of scrap Stellite, "other" web board had a surprising scrap rate!

Get a big board with sides to keep them from falling off and spread them out on the board. When you need a special grind start looking. You'll be surprised how often you end up digging in your goody tray. I have mine laid out so I can pick and choose real easy.
