I or we Bronwen and I made a new years resloution way back new year 2009 to alter my/our poor lifestyle, with regards to eating. In just over a year I have lost just over five stone and still working at it.Our method is simple to not by any cakes and biscuits and eat just one meal aday and eat fruit salads everyday and just have coffee and occasional slice of toast at evenings.
I also want to say my wife Bronwen and I visited OIL MAC alias Dan Mckay and his dear wife and had a really nice time Dan showed me proudly his two workshops and I was most impressed with his set up.He is a really nice guy and his talents put my misserable efforts to shame.God Bless all my friends here and keep up the good work.Alistair

5 Stone is aproximately what in "real" weight? That can be either
"Imperial" or "Metric". :-) I can convert those. :-)

AW... stone.. I think of the ass-=olie foreman at Olin Chemical..

He had a bicycle, huge basket on the front always with a raincoat and other things in it.. I took a 15-20lb rock and put it under the raincoat.. it was weeks before he found it.. that bicycle was so hard to pedal, and the front tire near flat..

I'd roll each time he'd go by..

Alistair, did you check your pants for stones before you weighed?? did the lil woman fill the pockets?

It is in Imperial:), I think you want it in "US customary system (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_customary_units)":D

See Tiffpedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_units

A good work-out with a good bit of crumpet would do a lot of good in the weight-losing department - if you are "up to it" - as it were - but of course you are aren't you? - well aren't you?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thinking_man's_crumpet

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=crumpet

A man-eater perhaps?

Perhaps all the fat 40 year-olds (its the new 20 you know!!) might get "pounced-on" by some 60 year-old (60 = new 40 you know) who will be that Cougar who wants and uses you as her toy-boy.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=cougar

You should be so lucky!!

There are probably worse ways to work off a few "stone" (14 pounds) - but are you and your stones (14 pounds? - you sure?) and the rest of your tackle ready to tackle that Cougar?

Woddya mean she rejected you? Not up to the job hey? Not many pounds knocked off there hey? You what? You showed her what you were made of and she nearly couldn't see it and she laughed at you?

Stop that bloody whining and sniveling in the fetal position in the corner!!!

Hmmm - seems you weren't all that well "potty trained" either.

Just stick to Alistair's diet and play safe - and get those "stones" off.

Excellent work...I'm only eating fruit and vegetables after 8pm now. Haven't weighed myself yet though.

Well, there's an interesting conjunction. One might get the rocks off and their stones off at the same time.

Way to go Alistai, takes dedication, good for you !

Once heard of a guy that was over weight so he cut out eating so much food, then he decided that he was drinking too much so he cut out drinking, that was going so well he felt he was chasing women too much so he cut out chasing women, when a family member finally found him he was cutting out paper dolls :D
