    Darn it!

You leave some floor unattended for a couple of days and look what happens:

The machine tool fairies didnt even clean it up!

I suppose it wasnt a bad price though even if it is made in spain!

    cheers

          That hack saw is awesome!
It is built heavy like a shaper.
          A fine example.

The pics are a bit dark.

                  Good one!!

Ok, now the important part! Which way do the blade's teeth point? Forward or rearward? Oh, and why??

This bloke's pub would't be in Nottingham would it?

Dave, it looks like you gave the skates back to John. Isn't that where they were sitting when he spotted them?

Nothing I have is painted green, in fact I'll rephrase that and say nothing I have is painted.
Paint doesn't earn anything on a machine tool.

And if you think I'm going to paint something that I'm going to swap for a pint and supply free delivery and unloading to boot then think again.

It's not ex-my workshop but something I fell over, literally, in my travels. It didn't cost me anything, it was of those "get the damn thing out my way " items so I thought I'd pass the favour on.

Looks to be a nice machine under all that grunge, I think it's one of those that once the cut is finished it uses each stroke to pump the damper cylinder up so the bade returns to the start point at the tip of the stroke then stops ready for the next cut.
That's what the two wind up handles are for on the top. Nice bit of kit and very well built, two people can't lift it, it was a crane job to get it into position.
